Martin's Transition Held Together By Stromata
Charlotte Martin is taking a big step with her latest effort, delving into the electronic side of her music and exposing a little more of her personal nature on the album "Stromata." The vocalist tells us, "My record's about relationships, but not just relationships with people - relationships with my own insecurities, my addictions and vices, failures and disappointments that I've been through and things that I was really proud of. Stromata was the word to tie it all together in a nice little bow," says Martin. The title track is the lead single, and Martin recently shot a video for the song with hubby/director Ken Andrews that coincides with the title. Being as "stromata" is about what holds cells together, the clip finds Martin amidst a background of constantly dividing cells. "It's a little scary, the way it's cut," says the vocalist. "It looks like I'm a bit agitated, but it is a dark song." Charlotte Martin's 'Stromata' is in stores now.

Housing Works is dedicated to developing and refining a self-sustaining model of housing, serving, and advocating for homeless people with AIDS and HIV-and remains firmly devoted to ending the twin crises of homelessness and AIDS.

An Evening With Charlotte Martin and Friends
Charlotte Martin partners with fellow musicians and friends to support Save Darfur
On December 2, The Knitting Factory is hosting "An Evening With Charlotte Martin and Friends" in Los Angeles, CA.
Tickets are available beginning Friday, October 27 at 12:00pm PST courtesy of TicketWeb. Advance tickets are $22.50 or $25.00 at the door. The $40.00 VIP ticket option includes "front of line" access, balcony meet and greet** after the show, and one copy of Charlotte's new album, Stromata.
A weeklong silent e-auction will begin on December 2 to coincide with the special concert event. A portion of the proceeds from the event and e-auction will benefit Save Darfur.
